Caddie Causes Stir With Racial Inference to Woods

SHANGHAI (AP) — Already one of the most festive evenings in golf, the annual Caddies Awards roast was buzzing with talk that Tiger Woods' former caddie might be getting a prize.
One award was called "Celebration of the Year." Everyone knew who would get it and why.
The surprise was how Steve Williams ripped into his old boss with a racial slur that caused even more commotion involving the jilted caddie and golf's biggest name.
"He's a character within the game of golf, and whatever bitterness that exists between him and Tiger should be in the past by now," said Graeme McDowell, one of several players at the party. "It's unfortunate that it's going to rear it's head again."
Williams, still angered over getting fired by Woods this summer, was working for Adam Scott when he won the Bridgestone Invitational. That tournament also was the first time Woods played since splitting with his caddie. An emotionally charged Williams gave a TV interview on the 18th green and called it "the best win of my life," even though he had been on the bag for 13 majors with Woods.
On Friday night, the host called Williams to the stage to collect his award and asked him to explain his enthusiasm. Williams, with a smirk on his face, leaned toward the microphone and said, "It was my aim to shove it right up that black a------."
On a night filled with banter and off-color remarks, this one was a show-stopper. Heads turned, eyes widened and jaws dropped amid a mixture of shock and laughter.
Williams later issued a statement apologizing to Woods. That was good enough for Scott, who said he had no plans to fire his caddie.
"I think everything in that room last night was all in good spirits and for a bit of fun," Scott said after his third round Saturday at the HSBC Champions. "And I think it probably got taken out of that room in the wrong context."
Even as players and caddies spilled into the bar, they couldn't stop talking about it — some because of the racial overtones, some because of how Williams so openly showed his disdain for Woods.

Donald hits a solid 68 in Madrid

England's Luke Donald began the defence of his Madrid Masters title with a solid four-under-par round of 68.

Two uncharacteristic mistakes by the world number one cost him an early share of the lead.
Errors at the ninth and 18th resulted in bogeys at both, and he also missed a great birdie chance at the 17th when he missed a three-foot putt.

Ross McGowan heads the leaderboard at the end of day one, at eight-under, one shot clear of the chasing pack.
"The 18th played a little longer in than I thought and my three-iron didn't quite get there." said Donald. "And the greens, which are very undulating, can be very difficult if you don't hit them in the right spots."

He prepared for the tournament by winning Wednesday's pro-am, playing alongside the late Seve Ballesteros's 21-year-old elder son Javier.

McGowan carded his lowest European round for three years, with a fine 64.
"I think I like Madrid. That was a much better round than I've been putting together recently," he said.

"It's been a pretty tough year with a couple of injuries but it's been improving week-to-week and this week it really seems to have come together."

Callaway Razr X Tour Irons for low-to-mid Handicap Players

There's less offset in the RAZR X Tour irons (discount golf clubs) when compared with the RAZR X, but once again, because the CG has been driven so low and deep, Callaway strengthened the lofts of the RAZR X Tours.

The new Callaway RAZR X Tour Irons are designed for low-to-mid handicap players looking for a next-generation combination of playability and workability. While other irons chase one specific performance attribute, RAZR Technology provides the optimal balance of distance, accuracy and feel with tour-inspired styling. It’s an iron with uncompromised performance, and it’s just another reason why Callaway has been the #1 Irons in Golf for the last 14 years and counting.

Key Technologies: The all-stainless steel iron has a 30-gram weight on the lower back of the cavity that shifts its center of gravity 23 percent lower and 18 percent deeper than in the X-22 Tour. The primary goal is to deliver the forgiveness and power of a wide-sole iron plus the versatility of a thin-sole iron.

Built on Callaway's popular X Series line, the RAZR X is designed to provide consistent distance and accuracy through the set. RAZR technology shifts the center of gravity lower and deeper in the clubhead, offering increased shotmaking from more places. The irons are also available in RAZR X Tour and RAZR X Forged models.

The new VFT Power System precisely positions the center of gravity and maximizes ball speed throughout the set. Its compact head shape and reduced offset with a thinner topline produces the aesthetics and the shot-shaping workability that better players prefer.

"This is the only iron in our line that's forged," Williams says. "So it's got the feel of a forged iron, and it's got our new Competition grooves, which in this club we can forge into the faces. We can control the grooves much more effectively in a forging than in a casting."

Star names will miss Seve Trophy

Britain and Ireland will be without four of the world's top 20 players when they defend the Vivendi Seve Trophy against Continental Europe in Paris.

World number one Luke Donald is at the FedEx Cup play-offs, while Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell and Paul Casey have turned down the match.

However, Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and Darren Clarke will be playing.
GB & Ireland captain Paul McGinley said: "I think we have an extremely strong side with a good blend."
European Ryder Cup captain Jose Maria Olazabal defended the absence of the leading players and said: "I'm sad that all our top players are not going to be playing TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons in the Seve Trophy after his death this year.

"But I also know that with the top players in the world they do have their commitments like the FedEx Cup in America, getting world ranking points and in Luke Donald's case trying to finish top of both the European and US money lists.

"So they cannot appear at every event, and I am sorry they won't be there but because I understand their situation I certainly will not hold it against them at the Ryder Cup in a year's time."

Scotland's Scott Jamieson, England's David Horsey and Jamie Donaldson, from Wales, will make their debuts at the event, which starts on 15 September.
There is also a first cap for Westwood's Worksop colleague Mark Foster.

McGinley, who won the event as a player in 2006 and 2007, added: "It is a huge boost for our team that players of the calibre of Lee, Darren and Ian have opted to play Mizuno JPX 800 Irons.

"These are players with big worldwide reputations and impressive Ryder Cup pedigrees.
"It is certain that many of the members of our team will go on to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup, so this experience of team golf cannot be underestimated."

He also defended the decisions of McDowell and McIlroy not to compete and said: "I'm not going to comment, so don't drag me into that, and besides I'm not going to criticise any players not playing Callaway Diablo Edge Irons next week. All I can say is that I would have loved them both to play."
Continental Europe will also be without some big names including world number three Martin Kaymer, Robert Karlsson and Sergio Garcia.

Their debutants will be Italian teenager Matteo Manassero, Swede Alex Noren, Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal and Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts, who has recovered from the elbow injury he suffered in a scooter crash just before the Open Championship in July.

Skipper Jean Van de Velde said: "With eight rookies in the two teams it means that 40% of the sides are newcomers and this will be great preparation for the day they step up to play in the Ryder Cup.

Discount TaylorMade R11 Irons Review

To match the popular R11 driver, TaylorMade released the new R11 Irons, which are engineered with multiple technologies that make them stunningly easy to launch high and long. I believe they will become the next legend of golf iron set.

The “Precision Weight Port” system is used in the TaylorMade R11 Irons to dial in desired head weights and swing weights, and to ensure each club’s center of gravity is in line with the sweet spot. The fixed (red) plugs—2.5 to 17 grams—are made of aluminum, steel or tungsten and can not be adjusted by consumers.

Besides, a light and lively face combines with “inverted cone technology” to deliver more consistent ball speeds and forgiveness on mis-hits. At impact, the R11 feels and sounds more muted (quieter) than the loud-ish Burner 2.0 because the R11's clubface is slightly thicker in the impact zone and where it connects to the sole.

Lastly, the R11’s short irons have a shallow undercut channel between the face and rear to control feel and CG location, the mid-irons have a moderate undercut, and the long irons have a progressively larger undercut that pulls weight farther back from the face for added forgiveness. Starting with 2.0mm thick face in the long irons to 2.3mm in the mid irons and 2.5mm in the short irons, they bring enhanced feel.

Overall, the new discount golf clubs are such a lengend that you have to try them on the course. They are engineered for the player who appreciates the shape and refinement of a tour-grade iron but needs the help of advanced technology to launch the ball high, straight and long with less effort, regardless of handicap. Are they what you are looking for?

Some Review on Titleist 910H hybrid

As we expected, Titleist pushed its fresh product, the 910H hybrids which producing a higher launch, lower spin and straighter flight compared to previous company hybrids. This line hybrid is built for golfers who want to gain accuracy and control from the different technologies that Titleist has used to build powerful discount golf clubs.

The Titleist 910H Hybrid is built for all golfers, but is highly recommended for the more serious golfer that is highly skilled or is in the process of working on their game often. It is not recommended for the weekend warrior or the golfer that has a higher handicap because it is expensive compared to other hybrids and it is more technologically advanced. This is a golf club for the golfer that understands the different adjustments that need to be made to make it fit their game properly

The new, SureFit Tour, dual-angle hosel technology provides the ability to make precise, independent loft and lie adjustments for a better flight with more control. The Titleist 910H Hybrid has our most technologically advanced head design that delivers outstanding performance and versatility in a wide range of conditions.

With a completely redesigned head, the sloped, ultra-thin crown design and on-axis rear weight screw create a low and deep centre of gravity for increased stability and speed through the turf.

The 910H offset head profile includes a progressive centre of gravity that moves forward as you go up the lofts for an optimal, flighted performance. And its profile with aids alignment is acoustically engineered for a hot, solid sound and feels.

My Favourite TaylorMade R9 Supertri Driver

There are certain words that I try to avoid when describing a golf club, mainly because I was in the past worried that it may effect my marriage! However being a newly single man I can now announce that the Taylormade R9 SuperTri Driver is one very very sexy golf club. Now this is not something I would say to get you to like it the same way I do but holding this thing in your hands and you realize that the feel of the club is as nice as the look of the club.

The TaylorMade R9 Super Tri Driver offers terrific distance that is achieved through optimization. This club has a 460cc head and a lower cg, meaning long shots that get you to the green faster. This club promotes up to 75 yards of side-to-side trajectory change for straighter, longer tee shots.

The club I was given to test was the right handed, 9.5 degree head with a Fujikura Motore 60, stiff shaft which fits in with all regulations of allowed clubs and all that competition stuff that can cost you dear if you are unaware.

I remember back to when I first started playing golf and my 1 wood was exactly that it was made of wood and damn heavy to boot, but at the time no one knew any better. Then you get your first metal head driver and it pretty much is like swinging a lump of lead around, but as things have evolved clubs are now much lighter and a great deal easier to swing. The Taylormade R9 SuperTri Driver is probably the most complexed and complete driver I have tried.

I have to say I would have probably been able to control the ball better with the draw and distance had I had time on the driving range with the club before going out onto the course, but the overall thoughts on the Taylormade R9 SuperTri Driver are that it is one hell of a club but it can take a little getting used to. In my party of 4 on the course I had two 28 handicappers who had a go with the club.

The general conclusion is that the discount golf clubs is pretty special but with that in mind I would suggest strongly to get the right advice on the club shaft that you are going to use with this.

2011 Unique Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver

The Razr Hawk, placed in all categories but strongest in the high handicap group. The Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver is made for both power and accuracy with its precise design using forged composite technology.

This is why the engineers were able to put the weight exactly where it is necessary to create the most potential distance without giving up any accuracy. You can choose discount golf clubs online to save some money and enjoy this new driver right now.

Callaway has made a giant leap forward with Forged Composite technology in the new Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver. This new material gave engineers the freedom to position weight exactly where needed for maximized distance, accuracy, and workability. With the RAZR Hawk Driver, there are no tradeoffs. It's golf's first uncompromised driver.

Using Forged Composite technology developed with Automobile Lamborghini S.P.A, Callaway has created a sole and crown made of 23 million turbostratic carbon fibers that constitute 47% of the clubhead.

The Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver also features Callaway's latest Hyperbolic Face Technology. This chemical milling process selectively removes excess material for precision thickness control across the face, and produces consistently high ball speeds for long distance. The aerodynamic head shape is streamlined thanks to surface contours that reduce energy loss from drag during the downswing by 43% compared to the Callaway FT-9 Driver. This improvement means the RAZR Hawk creates higher impact speeds for added distance.

Each RAZR Hawk Driver sports Callaway's Weighting System, making the driver available in either a Draw or Neutral configuration, allowing golfers to select a model that works best with their ball flight.

The RAZR Hawk Driver has streamlined surface contours to reduce energy loss from drag during the downswing by 43% compared to the FT-9 Driver. This creates higher impact speeds for added distance. The RAZR Hawk Driver has an Aldila RIP Graphite Shaft with optimized torque and flex characteristics for better tip stability with great predictability, smooth feel and excellent control.

If you’re looking for more distance with a more traditional weight and feel then a super light weight driver delivers, the Callaway RAZR Hawk Driver should make it to your short list of demo day clubs.

Know Where You Want Your Tee Shots to Land

Most golf holes present multiple opportunities, both from the tee and into the green.

The key is to identify the optimal spots for your game, your shot shape. Don't get caught up in where your playing partners are hitting the ball, especially if they can outdrive you or hit that sweet looking draw that you wish you had in your bag.

Play your shot.

So, what is the best way to determine this?

It is paramount that you know your game. Know your distances with each club, not career yardages but what you can realistically hit on a regular basis. Also your shot shape, whether that is straight or something that curves.

The range is a great place to get loose and tweak your swing, but always take note of how you're hitting the ball especially if that is during a pre-round warm-up.
Nothing beats a little local knowledge; you can probably visualize every inch of fairway at your home course. But what about when the course is less familiar or you've never played it?

First of all, don't be afraid to ask how far out a bunker is or which side of the fairway opens up if your partners have played the golf course. Also, take note of every visual cue whether it is on the scorecard or tee marker.

Best of all, do your own scouting while you are playing. Look at the next hole as you're going to your ball and take note of the fairway, hazards and how that sets up to the green.

For most players, the idea is to hit the fat part of the fairway. Teeing up on the side of trouble and hitting away from it is basic strategy. But also think about playing your second shot. If the green is open on the right side, for example, think about aiming for the right side of the fairway for a better look with your approach.

Also, take into account conditions that include elevation changes, hazards and doglegs. You may be able to hit driver within a short wedge of the green, but you're left with a tougher downhill or uphill lie. It's better to tee off with a fairway wood or even an iron and hit your second shot from a level lie.

As often as you can, play the golf course backward in your mind to create a solid plan going forward.

Solid Taylormade R11 Fairway Wood

This club is white , so I was convinced I would not like it . I have owned burners before and thought I would like the new burner more , but this club got the nod for how it feels in the hand and visually . The shaft is outstanding , what a surprise . It is not real whippy at all .

The TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood is the latest and greatest from the makers of the No.1 drivers and woods in golf. It has new technology, like an adjustable sole that can adjust the face angle of the club, as well as the ability to adjust the launch angle, making it a truly adjustable fairway wood.

This club promotes up to 60 yards of side-to-side trajectory change and 1,000 RPM backspin change, giving you consistent power and distance. It has a new deeper face and deeper center of gravity, which produces a more penetrating flight. The white non-glare crown and black clubface will improve your game and that sleek white finish will make you the center of attention on the course and in the clubhouse.

The same as the driver, the R11 fairway metals improve upon the R9 fairways by adding Adjustable Sole Plate Technology to Flight Control Technology in a new aerodynamic steel head that promotes faster speed for more distance. The white club head did not bother me at all . Just gets dirty real easy . It launches higher than I thought it would , so time to tinker . I had it set on standard , time to lower it to see if it really helps.

I can feel the shaft load , I can feel the head through out my swing . The face is hot . It is longer and hotter than my Cally razr , and is just a solid club . Much longer than the Callaway Razor I bought a couple weeks ago . I still want to try out the Burner to see on course results .

The performance of this discount golf clubs is awesome, the ball just flies of the face and the white crown is very pleasing to the eye. The adjustable sole plate and flight control offer great adjustability. If there was one thing to be picky over it is that there are a lot of nooks and crannies for dirt and grass to get stuck it which makes the club somewhat difficult to clean.

I will say that this is an outstanding fairway wood . I am very happy with it.

Super Mizuno MX 1000 Review

The Mizuno MX 1000 are by far the most player-friendly irons ever produced by Mizuno, which has described them as ‘like cheating’ in terms of the levels of forgiveness and playability they offer.

These discount golf clubs are stronger lofted than many, but not as strongly lofted as some. I give Mizuno credit for keeping the Pitching Wedge at 44*, which, even though a full club stronger than the traditional 48* of days gone by, it is not as strong as the 42 and 43* lofts I'm seeing on many others. The trick to the distance on these is the technology of razor thin maraging steel faces attached to hollow Stainless Steel Body Frames.

There is little loss of distance or height from slight miss-hits and i found it was hard to hit a bad one off the deck. Short irons lacked a little precision, as you might expect, but the head profile inspired confidence throughout the set and will definitely appeal to those players who seek distance and forgiveness in a more compact head shape.

The MX-1000 takes distance and forgiveness as far as they can without the head size becoming offensive to the eye. The hollow body and hot metal face pushes the boundaries of R&A and USGA limits to expand the sweet spot across the face. The high launch also allows each club to have a stronger loft promoting increased distance without compromising on shot height.

Overall, these are the best "Super Game Improvement" irons to hit the market this year. The Mizuno MX-1000 irons are aimed at golfers looking for extreme levels of distance and forgiveness with a high launch angle.
Now I'm not saying you can go out there pin-seeking from 200 yards with these chunksters, swat the ball 10 yards past the hole, and have it do the magic backwards dance and back it into the cup--BUT---What I am saying, is that you can go for the middle of the green from that distance, and the ball will have a better chance of sticking.

Best Callaway RAZR X Hybrid I've Tried

I have hit just about every hybrid, and that includes all the Callaway brand.

The Callaway RAZR X Hybrid is uncompromised performance. The RAZR X Hybrid leverages the new Zero Roll Design to help golfers hit higher and longer shots, even when struck low on the face. These inertia-driven clubs are highly playable and offer hot ball speeds so players can dial in their ideal performance.

The standard model has a club face with a Zero Roll Design, which produces higher launch angles on shots hit low on the face for greater distance and a soft landing. The tour model has less offset to enhance workability. This helps to increase the size of the sweet spot and allows for more distance off the club.

RAZR X Hybrid (discount golf clubs) offers a faster ball speed off the face and is available in both a standard model and a tour model. The standard is built more for the mid to high handicap golfer and the tour model is built for the more skilled golfer. These hybrids are built with the standard Callaway technologies, which include the VFT technology that Callaway is using in many clubs now.

This club is the most accurate and high flying one there is. I loved it so much. I purchased the whole iron set.

Promotion Product: Mizuno JPX 800 Irons 4-9PSG

The JPX 800 is said to be the first iron to utilize Mizuno's JPX technology in the United States. Now comes the Mizuno JPX 800 Irons, which become the second one to use the JPX technology. What else? Now follow me to find out the answer.

The JPX800 delivers the magical combination of being Mizuno's most forgiving (MOI measurement) and longest (COR measurement) iron of all time. The JPX800's look from address and solidity at impact will have single figure players questioning their choice of iron.

The JPX800 achieves all this within a mid-size head which presents itself even more compactly and versatile thanks to a triple cut sole design. A progressive flow to shapely shorter irons, complete the JPX800s 'Balanced' orientation.

The visible distance gains of the JPX800 irons are achieved by combining Mizuno's HOT METAL approach - incorporating a new manufacturing process for a thinner, more uniform iron face. This HOT METAL process allows the JPX800 to hit the maximum allowable limits for energy transfer, far exceeding previous Mizuno irons.

The discount golf clubs combine Max COR technology, Hot Metal construction and an exotic pocket cavity to create the maximum allowable limits for energy transfer. The club does look slightly different than normal irons, with the sole wider and the different cavity back. With the size of the irons, golfers can feel more confident that they will make a solid strike.

The JPX-800, in fact, gained 3 mph ball speed and 7 yards total distance in head-to-head tests with MX-200 irons. Mizuno's "Hot Metal" construction is a strengthening process that leads to an extra-thin clubface and triggers hotter ball speed.

Clarke secures win with TaylorMade R11 driver

Darren Clarke took advantage of a final-round collapse from Englishman Chris Wood at the Iberdrola Open to claim his first Tour title since 2008.

TaylorMade staffer Clarke, last year's Ryder Cup vice-captain, fired a one-under-par 69 in Mallorca on Sunday to win by three shots from Wood, who could only manage a 76.

The Northern Irishman was using TaylorMade's much-talked-about new Taylormade R11 driver, as well as TaylorMade's TP MB irons which performed admirably in our recent test.

Clarke was looking good at the turn on Sunday, with a solitary birdie and eight pars giving him a six-under-par total.

But he found water on the 11th to drop back to four-under, before birdies on the 14th and 15th saw him climb the leaderboard.

In addition to the driver and irons, Clarke was also using three xFT wedges and the world's first five-piece golf ball in the PENTA TP.

Titleist Putter: Circa 62 Model No.3 & Studio Select Laguna 2

Recently, titleist company release two putters. Today let me tell you some information about them.

First is Titleist Scotty Cameron Circa 62 Model No.3 Putter. Inspired by the classics and crafted for performance, the Titleist scotty cameron circa 62 model No.3 putter line rolled out in 2007 with several upgrades and a brand new model. While staying true to the timeless styling of this classic milled putter line, Scotty added a rust-resistant, virtually maintenance-free Charcoal Mist finish to the soft carbon steel putter head of scotty cameron circa 62 model No.3 putter.

The performance-engineered Titleist scotty cameron circa 62 model No.3 putter has been Tour-tested for optimum grip weight, headweight, and shaft flex to be truly balanced at 35 inches. Red and white paintfill matches the red headcover and shaftband. The entire Circa 62 line features the Tour-inspired Red Baby T grip for a high performance look and feel suited to the finest players in the world.

Second is Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Laguna 2 Putter. Studio Select H putters feature a heavier head (+10g) to provide a heavier feel preferred by some players. With the addition of Studio Select H, available in 34" and 35", the Scotty Cameron Studio Select line can now be fully customized for length, weight, lie angle and grip type. Studio Select H models are custom built at Titleist and are differentiated by a special Circle H shaft band.

The improved high toe profile of Studio Select helps eliminate the tendency to raise the toe at address thereby causing the player to aim left of target. Studio Select also features a stepless shaft for a clean look at address and soft but solid feel, as well as a new red Cameron cord grip.

Not only are these new discount golf clubs easy to care for, but the misted finish also knocks down sun glare for added confidence on the green. The draft sole design and high toe profile aid in proper alignment for putters that set up perfectly at address.

Popular Mizuno MP-68 Irons

A few years ago, I sold a set of Mizuno MP-68 Irons and have been ruing the decision pretty much ever since. At the time, I thought I'd found a better fitting set for my game (plus, newer clubs are always better. Right?). Unfortunately, I haven't found an iron with that same sweet feel.

For the last several years pre release Mizuno head only sets have popped up far before the official release date. They look perfect to the untrained eye but when put on the scale the head weights are off and the hosel size often appears to be over or undersized.  This has been the unfortunate case for many of Mizuno's MP models in recent years but its a consistent pattern.

When it comes to selecting discount golf clubs, some introspection is in order. If practice is not part of your golf experience and you just want to play a weekend round from time to time, perhaps a game improvement or even max game improvement iron is the way to go.

But if you are trying to get better or if you just enjoy hitting draws and fades to get around the course, there is no reason to deny yourself those experiences. It may cost you a stroke here and there, but they also might help you improve and being able to work the ball around trouble can come in handy from time to time.

In conclusion, the MP-68s let you know where you are making contact, and reward strikes on the sweet spot with that buttery forged Mizuno feel. The fact that you don't have to be absolutely dead solid perfect to experience it and get optimal results from the club was unexpected and welcome.

How to Improve Your Game with Simple Golf Exercises?

Golf exercise is a very popular topic these days among all the pros, teachers and even amateurs. It’s no secret that if you get your body fitter, stronger and more flexible you will swing better and hit longer drives that produce lower scores.

The simplist way to implement golf exercises is to look at the golf swing. First off, it’s standing on your feet. Not sitting down, like on a machine in your local gym. So try to do most of your exercises on your feet.

Secondly, you should be in your golf posture. Which is a bend forward at the hips, with your knees slightly flexed. Doing exercises in this position will create a very strong, stable golf swing.

Don’t let your clubs get dusty and forget about your game. Prepare your body in anticipation of next spring. It’s no fun to come off the course feeling spent (in more ways than one) when you could have energy to spare. You have between 4-6 months to greatly improve your strength, flexibility and stamina. It would be the wisest thing to do to improve your golf for next season.

When you begin the season with a “broken” body, you’re taking two steps back. Take a leap forward and prepare your body by getting your golf exercise program in motion. Think of it this way. What a great opportunity to get the edge on your playing partners and win all the money. Wouldn’t that get their goat?

Finally, you’ll get the chance to redeem yourself from a previous season that found you paying out more than receiving and being the brunt of all jokes in the clubhouse after every round.

Golf Tips - Good Gear and Sportsmanship

If you are just getting into the sport of golf, you have probably heard thousands of golf tips from well-meaning golfers. However, what many golfers fail to realize is that many of the golf tips that work well for one golfer, simply do not work well for another. Here are some golf tips that work well for everyone.

As a beginner, do not rush out and buy a set of high priced clubs. Buy a set of discount golf clubs, or better yet rent your clubs. Take a little time to see if you really enjoy the game of golf, and if you will stick to it first. The used or rented clubs won’t be the top of the line, but they will get you through several games of golf to see if you are going to stick with it. This is also a good opportunity to start researching exactly what clubs you need when you are ready to buy a new set.

Golf is fun, but the sport should not be taken lightly. It is a sport – it isn’t just a bunch of retired men knocking a ball around. It takes a great deal of skill and technique to master the game. The pros you see on television make it look quite simple – but it isn’t. The concepts you will learn from more experienced golfers will sound easy – and look easy – in theory, but in practice, they are quite difficult. The sooner you realize this, the faster you will start to improve your game.

While golf does require skill and technique, it is still meant to be enjoyed and the experience should be relaxing. If you get angry over bad shots or you find that you are not enjoying the game, you should back up and re-evaluate your reasons for playing the game. Try to look at things from a new perspective. It is a game that tests your skill – but it should not test your patience!

Choose your golf aids carefully. A great deal of money can be wasted on aids, courses, and videos that turn out to not be any help at all. When possible, buy used aids, courses, and videos. Save your golfing money for more important things – like clubs, balls, and tees! Nike VR STR8-FIT TOUR Driver is very good – used training equipment usually works quite well.

Golf is a great exercise. Riding in a golf cart defeats that purpose though. Walk, don’t ride! Save the cart for the days when you really are too old to walk a short distance – take advantage of the exercise that you will get by walking from one tee to the next, and take the time to actually enjoy the walk!
Alcohol is often served at the clubhouse – but you should wait until you finish your round of golf before consuming any. First, the alcohol will greatly alter your game. Second, alcohol is a dehydrating substance, and this isn’t safe in the hot sun. Carry water with you during your game, and make sure you drink plenty of it!

Becoming good at the game takes a lot of practice. Use your practice sessions to learn what mistakes you are making, and work to correct them. Don’t just keep making the same mistakes over and over, thinking that it doesn’t matter, or that it is too hard to learn! If you’re going to play, play to win!

Use training aids, and if possible, video tape yourself playing Callaway Diablo Edge Irons, making sure that you get close up shots of you teeing off, close up shots of the club hitting the ball on the tee-off, and even shots of you putting. Have a friend run the camera for you for best results, and review the tape in slow motion to see what needs the most work.

The most important golf tips you will ever receive are the ones that focus on good sportsmanship. Never make fun of other players. Some people do look funny playing golf – but those funny looking people can probably beat every aspect of your game, and they will have the last laugh. Be respectful of your fellow golfers, and listen closely to the advice of the seasoned players.

Check These out before You Buy Golf Clubs

Before you purchase a set of discount golf clubs, you must remember to check out these items.

First, you need check the quality of the clubs and consider how often you will use them. Buying discount golf clubs is an excellent option for golfers who don't intend to play that much, as well as totally new golfers who want to give golf a shot. The first thing to look for on a set of used golf clubs is the club heads. Clubs that have been used a lot will have a shiny worn spot in the center. This is a problem that can affect the flight of the golf ball.

The next item to check is the grip. Keep an eye out for cracks and splits. Worn areas in the grip are also telltale signs of a heavy club use. You won't want to have to re-grip the clubs; re-gripping can easily set you back another $5 to $15.

Next, you should check the set together to make sure that they are all parts of one original set. You don't want different models in the same set. Once you have done all this, you should check the price. There are people out there who will charge more for a used set of clubs than a brand new set with the same model. Always shop around first and get an idea of the brand you want; make sure you see the average price of the set as a whole.

If you are picking up Cleveland CG15 Satin Chrome Wedge from a garage sale, there is always the option to haggle the price down and save yourself some cash. You won't really know how good the clubs are unless you get to test them. Don't be rushed into making a purchase, especially for a set of golf clubs that might not work with your own personal swing. Ask the shop attendant or seller at a garage sale if it's okay to give the clubs a demo run. Get a feel for the golf clubs and see if they work for you.

For higher quality of golf equipment,we always choose the old brands like Taylormade. But it is not cheap for amount of people. In this situation, we always take this methods that is buy them online . Because these clubs online are cheaper than offline . Online, there are so many clubs are discount golf equipment. For me , I buy them in discountpricegolf.com.

Ping G20 Series Details

Some details on the G20 series have surfaced by Ping, and fortunately we've yet to find any pictures. I will show the pictures Here! Enjoy!

G20 Hybrid (17 degree through 31 degrees)
As for looks, apparently it's very similar to the G15 series, with a slightly darker red and more satin finish. The adjustable lie on the G20 is two degrees flatter than the G15's.  A more curved look to it than the G15's.

Ping G20 Irons

Again, very similar to the G15's, with a slightly wider sole.  The cavity of these irons features a very similar look to the G15's but with a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations.  The steel shafts also look new, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, with a unique and interesting feel.

Ping G20 Driver (8.5, 9.5, 10.5, 12)

The G20 features some added weight on the back end of the driver that they stole from the tip/hosel section.  It sits well and square, with a lower face height and sleeker look.  It was described as a nice cross between the G15 and K15 model.

G20 Fairway
Like most series, the G20 fairway woods feature a very similar look with the driver.  Lower face height, sleek look, and great performance.
